Projects
Blair Composites has an extensive history of custom composite fabrication. Over the years the diversity of our products has spoken to our wide range of capabilities. From 1968, and during the early years of the business several home furnishing projects made up the core of our manufacturing focus. Residential bathtubs, above ground pools, fiberglass countertops and sinks were just a few of the items that made up the early product lines. Blair Composites then expanded into using fiberglass technologies to create products for the US military. Missile containers, Kevlar® products for vests and helmets, tank simulators, gun stocks, aircraft parts, and NASA space shuttle components are examples of this type of work.
Marine products have long been a staple of the composite industry. Blair Composites has produced a large share of quality marine grade components such as boat hull stringers, yacht spoilers, and diving platforms. Some custom marine jobs have included amphibious ATVs and life raft containers. We have also produced large scale water slides for amusement parks both domestically and globally.
Composite technology has great acoustical applications for both amplifying and dampening sound. Blair Composites has manufactured large scale horns and acoustical tunnels, as well as sound dampening barriers for several diverse applications. These products have been used in jet engine and missile testing, transformer units, and additional sound reverberation tests globally.
More recently we have expanded into wide scale reimaging projects, producing signage for many large retail corporations. New processes have been custom developed to achieve translucent lighting effects, large and durable installation units with high wind load capacity, and fiberglass aesthetic enhancements to existing signage. Again our aptitude in adapting dynamically to individual situations has given us the ability to cater to the needs of both corporate customers and franchisees, as well as meet regional and local permit requirement. Blair Composites excels at many commercial and industrial products, and is always looking to branch into new directions and applications.
